[swing top bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck] Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a short off-white foamy layer. Light-sweet and roasty malty with a nutty touch and caramel, accompanied by a touch of vanilla and a whiff of herbal hops. Light bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pronounced roast-malty taste, again with nutty flavours and caramel. Moderately dry and bitter roast-malty finish with light hoppy notes and a delicate malty sweetness. Good and rounded, not too sweet Dunkel [28.I.09].

Bügelverschlußflasche, alle Rechte bei Stefan! Hazy, chestnut-amber coloured, small beige layer, no carbonation visible; dryish nutty-malty nose with the faintest illusions of hops and some lost amount of roasted malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, soft, silky MF; light nutty-roast-malty and caramelly finish, balanced by a shy bitterness. Pleasant brew........
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2005
Bottled. Caramel and herbal aroma. Brown color, beige head, good lace. Light sweet, light malty, pretty bitter, herbal, very herbal. In the finish very dry, harsh bitter yet still very soft mouthfeel. Unlike most other German dunkels.
