3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, - JAN 18, 2011
Draught at Bicu, Savignano sul Rubicone (FC) Brown color. Light caramel aroma. The mouthfeel is very dry, but smooth, with caramel flavor and some roasted nuts; correct bitterness. Correctly brewed, but without special features.

Stesso commento della mathias. Buona ma nulla di che. presentabile, buon aroma caramelloso , come il sapore ma in nessuno dei due casi intenso o complesso, un po acquosa . Tutto sommato godibile birra!!!

26th October 2011 Bottle from the brewpub. Hazy red-brown beer. Short lived pale tan head. Light dry semi crisp palate. Sweetish malts with an undertone of sherbet fruits. Trace of coca cola. Finishes dry with a carbonated sting. Whisper of smoke in the aftertaste. Was ignorant of the spices and didn’t taste them! Decent enough!

Bevuta al Bicu di Genova, la speziatura è eccessiva e rende questa birra un po’ insopportabile
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2010
On tap. RBESG Rome 2010. I believe it came as "Rossa" at 6% ABV - must be this one. Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Fairly rich aroma of roasted malt and caramel - perhaps also a whiff of butter. Not much bitterness but a rather warming alcohol finish. Very malty indeed. Didn’t pick up any coriander or vanilla - more a straight Amber Ale in my book. 020610
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 nate2g (1548) - Marlborough, NEW ZEALAND - APR 10, 2010
Draught at Bicu, Genova. Murky amber with minimal head. Strongly sweet aroma of caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spices are way overdone and with the sweet malt it’s quite sickly to drink. Very strange beer and seriously lacking balance.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3115) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 18, 2009
At the brewpub. Murky amber-red body. A very nice smooth sweet orangey malty nose. Sweet taste reminiscent of jaffa cakes, some orange peel and coriander. Tasty ’nuff, almost Belgian in character and the best of the bunch I reckon (not that that’s saying much).
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 heavy (1490) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 16, 2009
10/10 Draught at the brewpub. It poured deep copper body with almost no head. Sweetish malty caramel aroma, simple but nice. Tasty flavor, sweetish, caramel and some licorice besides those typical Italian Rossa characteristics. Full bodied with long, pleasantly sweet finish makes it a very good beer. Therefore, I liked this one the most of all Bicu beers.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2008
Draught Nearly no head; red beer with a slight foxy shade. Caramel, spices and parsley. In the pub we were told it contained CINNAMON from Madagascar, and I’m afraid that’s what I smelled too. Suggestion? Very spiced, sweet, but totally falling flat, the undercarbonation (it is served under very low CO² pression) not helping. Ends slightly bitterish-spicy. Spritzy, aggressive MF despite the low carbonation. Sticky. Some problems, but the brewer is aware - except maybe for the spice overdose.
