26th October 2011 Bottle from the brewpub. Hazy amber beer. Little white head. Softish palate, semi dry with just a little fine carbonation. Sweetish pale malt. Trace of caramel and a trace of citrus. Subtle honey. Light carbonated sting in the back end. Inoffensive but lacks a bit of pep.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - JUL 17, 2011
Draught at Bicu, Savignano sul Rubicone (FC), 5% ABV Blond color; creamy head. The aroma is a bit smelly, dirty skin. Dry mouthfeel, bitter, but without evidence of good malt, just hay. Simple.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2010
On tap. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours cloudy and almost opaque yellow with a white and lacing head. Sweet and spicy nose - German hops? Medium body, good malty feel and again a little spiciness. Fairly dry and hoppy finish. 020610
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 luimas75 (25) - Genova, ITALY - JUN 28, 2010
Spina al Bicu. Birra bionda leggera e dissetante. Senza particolari pregi ma anche senza difetti.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nate2g (1548) - Marlborough, NEW ZEALAND - APR 10, 2010
Draught at Bicu, Genova. Bright golden with lasting white head. Nose and flavour of caramel, lemon grass and fruity hops. Nice bitterness. A little too thin. It’s refreshing if anything else.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Marko (3115) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 18, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. A Kölsch? Ok. Poured a golden body with a small head. Lemony/lime-like hop nose. Lemony hoppy taste ending in light beet taste, some sweet maltiness. Ends with a light hoppy aftertaste. Ok but unremarkable.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heavy (1490) - Split, CROATIA - OCT 16, 2009
10/10 Draught at the brewpub. It poured lighter golden to orange body with small head. Orange and a bit of banana in the nose. Flavor was chalky, slightly bitter, somewhat yeasty in spicy way, but quite watery as well. Shorter, spicy and watery finish. Pleasant anyway, but misses body.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 MrGGen (300) - ITALY - MAR 8, 2009

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2008
Draught Very creamy, bubbly cream-coloured head, fully hazy orange beer. Coriander, oxydized cookies, yeast, and some off-product from the yeast - not completely fermented-out. Slight bitterish spike, immediately folllowed by a jumble of yeast flavours, nearly cheesy-lactic, but NOT sour. One surmises hops. Suggestion of speciality grains. Very yeast-filled, not well-bodied. Why they wanted us to drink a not-fully fermented beer, is beyond me.
