Draught at Bicu, Savignano sul Rubicone (FC)
Cloudy blond color. Dry and spicy Hefeweizen, with no fruitness, and some paper flavor too. Correct bitterness. Basic.

Bottle from the brewpub. Hazy gold beer, big white head. Light dry palate. Some sharp citrus with a trace of bubblegum and a lot of wheaty malt. Finishes dry with a carbonated sting. Ok.

Bevuta al Bicu di Genova, una weizen normalissima senza alcuna emozione procurata

On tap. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours a cloudy opaque pale yellow with a white head leaving some lacework. Distinctly yeasty in the nose. Rather light body, again plenty of yeast, phenols and a little fruit without being particularly bananaish. The finish is dry. 020610

Draught at Bicu, Genova. Extremely palish yellow with thinly laced head. Light character of mild spice and citrus. A touch too fizzy on the palate. Very thin and doesn’t do much to stand out from the great hefeweizens easily available from Germany.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a murky golden-orange body with a white head. Gluey banana nose. Banana and chewed up bubblegum in the taste, a little sulphur? Hmm... not the greatest weizen around.

10/10 Draught at the brewpub. Lighter yellow bodied with small head. Some lemony and bubblegum aroma. Bitterish and fruity flavor, watery again and cloves or similar spices used here again. Longer, bittersweet banana finish which raises its impression. Better that Hellen, but I’m still not impressed for sure.

servita come una weizen ricorda più una blanche dl colore il naso a mio avviso non la avvicina ne a uno ne a l altro stile

Draught Good, high, lightly yellow tinted dense head over lightly hazy yellow beer with a mossy shine. Banana, cured cold meat, bubble gum, very fruity-estery and fusels. An exaggerated Hefeweizen profile in the nose. Banana, fruity, more bubble gum, but more subdued; taste is giving better balance, less caricatural than the nose. Medium bodied at best, bit spritzy, yet not much CO². In the taste at least reasonable Hefeweizen.
