COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in 1 litre bottles, keg, cask and polypins.
What could be more natural in a traditional apple-growing area than to produce apple cider. An excellent alternative to other alcoholic drinks, our strong, still cider is made from the juice of farm pressed Kentish Culinary and Dessert apples. Available in sweet, medium or dry these ciders will quench your thirst in the heat of summer or the chill of winter.

Tap @ 3 Judges. Very pale yellow colour. This is an awful cider. Alcoholic, metallic, too sweet, no carbonation, perfumed, artificial.

Cask (gravity) @ The Bree Louise, 69 Coburg Street, Euston, London, England NW1 2HH.

Clear light yellow color with virtually none head. Aroma is light apple, sweet apple, pear notes, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100801]

Draught - The Cherry Tree, Canterbury. Pours a weak piss yellow, has some fizz and no head. Dry, sour apple aromas. Sweet and sour apple notes on the tongue but quite short overall. Crisp and is refreshing on the right day, despite the strength. Light body, fizzy and watery in the mouth too with some tartness and sugar lingering on the palate.

On draught at the Brewers Arms, Lewes, during the Harveys brewery tour day, 7 June 2009. Sold simply as Biddenden Kentish Cider. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure whether the products we have listed here are all the same stuff. This was extraordinarily pale. Almost no colour at all. Lots of alcohol and some fruit but not a lot else. Seemed more directed towards the “white” cider loopy juice market. Not very impressed.

A Mes rate: Draught at the Brewers Arms, Lewes.
Pretty bad in all honesty. Pale yellow, rather harsh and unrefined all round, pretty fierce alcohol and seems to have no idea if it is sweet, medium or dry. A mess. Would get me legless pretty quickly though...

Bottle, brought home from England by my parents. Pours a pale, light yellow with no head whatsoever. Aroma is lightly sour apples. Completely flat and oily palate - no carbonation. Mouthfeel adds on a medium dryness as well. Flavour is lightly sour apples, with a touch of a vinious streak.

Polypin at The Dun Cow, Hornton, Oxon. Greenish straw colour with no head. Fresh apple flavour with a slight perfumed note. Medium dry with a fragrant character. Pretty good.
