4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 McWorta (71) - LUXEMBOURG - JAN 27, 2009
A nice full white head supported by a medium CO2 fizzyness. The colour is dark yellow/golden underpinned by the honey it was brewed with.
A strong and full body - fairly sweet with a hint of soureness in the aftertaste. Soft notes on the lips resulting in a strong taste leaving a soft liquid aftertaste on your gums. Very palatable...

Bottle shared by Ughsmash on 12/16/06: Pours a clear golden bronze with a well-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of toasty sweet caramely malt. Body starts lightly sweet and toasty with good earthy malty presence but a thinner, bready palate. A pretty decent ESB.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ughsmash (5823) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 24, 2006
Bottled, 2005 vintage. Poured a slightly-cruddy medium caramel with a short cap of white head. Nose picked up sweet honey and grainy wheat along with English toffee.. very intriguing. Flavor was sticky with staying power... sweet honey and caramel.. kind of a green feel to it.. drier toward the sweet herbal finish. Soft on the palate with a medium body and a very nice flow. I could drink a lot of this.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 22, 2006
Hazed, cinnamon filled body and amber-orange in color with heavy, foamy, cascading lace and a bubble sheaf island for the head. Sweet nectar and comb move smoothly and lightly through the nose. Buttery nectar, lacquered hazelnuts and staling honey oat bread bring up the aromatic rear. Effervescence hits early, and the flavor is met with honey and caramel-sweetened cereal flakes. Easy going body that reminisces of stale honey wheat dinner loaves. Extremely light-bodied but fairly non-confrontational, with that wholesome honeyed oat character always coming through. A touch hollow, but it gets the job done, more or less. Thanks much, Ughsmash!

Thanks Jason. The beer pours to a caramel amber body with lots of suspended black sediment. A creamy white head sits on top. The aroma is honey and fermented honeysuckle. The flavor is honeysuckle and sweet green apples. Moderate palate.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - AUG 16, 2006
I was intrigued at what this beer might offer, but it was a disappointment. Aroma was sweet, slightly spiced but very mild. Appearance was amber in color, HUGE foamy head. Flavors were honeyish, slightly malty, slight bit of roastyness and some decent carbonation. It was a rather forgettable beer, great for someone who wants to forget their birthday.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 14, 2006
Interesting brew. It looked like iced tea (pekoe) with a fizzy white head. The aroma has honey, sweet malt, grain, a drop of toffee, apples, and cigar tobacco. Lively mouthfeel. The flavor is a honey sweetened toasted malt with butterscotch, fresh apples, black peppers, and cigar ash. (No, I wasn’t smoking at the time.) There’s a lot going on here, and it took me a while to decide that I liked it.
