Bieckert Africana Negra Premium. Big bottle. Black clear colour with an average beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel, coffee, roasted malt. Mild smooth flavour of sweet caramel, roasted malts, bit chocolate and dry finish. A pretty good brew! Cervecería Bieckert existed from 1860-1997 and was then closed and taken over by Quilmes.

Nothing memorable about it. A fairly bad try at a comercial bock. For the brown hints in the head, I presume this beer is artificialy colored. Pretty mediocre stuff and now hard to come by. Malty as usual, with no aroma or flavor whatsoever.

Imbibed in December 2002. Clear ruby color with a thick white head with tinges of tan. Color is slightly darker than their Bock. Slightly more malt and caramel flavor also. Low carbonation.

Surprisingly good for a mass produced south american bock. Needs a little more body and complexity of flavour to really set it apart. Mild caramel/choc flavours make it pleasantly easy to drink.
