4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I know this hasn’t had many ratings, but even so, this seems way under-appreciated so far. I tried my first PDG on draft with dinner, while also having a few of my regular favorites. It definitely stood it’s ground well; a very tasty and well balanced pale ale. Slightly bitter but super crisp and refreshing without sacrificing a big wave of flavor. Nice and balanced combo of malts and hops, it’s basically exactly what I want in a PA. Being from Indy, I’d take this beer over Sun King’s (rock solid and much more famous) Osiris PA for sure.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 4-09-2011 and on tap at Bier Brewery. This beer’s appearance is a very small ivory head that mostly diminishes, hazy golden body, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. This beer’s aroma is pale malt, citrus and pine hops. The taste is lightly bitter, pale malt, citrus and some pine hops. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. This beer is not overly hoppy tasting, easy drinking and worth trying.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at brewery. Quite hoppy. A little sweet. Medium bodied. Not bad but pretty one-note and nothing I’d go back for.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a transparent orange with foamy eggshell head. Smells of mild hops with a pretty big pale malt backbone and some light biscuit. Tastes like it smells, but with more biscuit. Average on the palate. Either an old keg, grandpa’s APA, or both.

A great pale ale. Hoppy, with a clean finish. Definitely a beer you can have on its own or with a meal.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Bier. Pours a nice pale amber with a sticky off white head that persists. Nose is resiny and full of hops. Some citrus notes and a toasty malt profile overall, faint caramel? On tasting, really clean and fresh, well balanced. Upper tier APA here. Solid.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated hazy dark yellow orange colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was mild hop. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of citrus and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden orange pour with white head and above average lacing. Aromas of pine, spruce, peppery, and some citrus. Taste is bitter with some light sweetness. Has a light body with a dry finish. Overall, a good beer with solid flavor that makes it very drinkable. Great session beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A very solid pale ale. Good balance of hops and malts with a great mild bitterness. A very sessionable beer that would go well with almost anything.
