A great pale ale. Hoppy, with a clean finish. Definitely a beer you can have on its own or with a meal.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, nice pine, orange, big grapefruit notes. Taste is light, hints of biscuit, bread, grapefruit, orange, lemon, finishing bitter, dry.

2oz taster on tap, at HopCat Broad Ripple. Clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent ropes of lace. Up front, nice bigger hop than expected. Some biscuity malt, and spicy kind of piney hop. Medium body, smooth kind of soft light crisp lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Moderate bitter, moderate sweet taste. Nice balanced pale ale.

Draft. Orange malt and peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Very good - nice hop kick.

I know this hasn’t had many ratings, but even so, this seems way under-appreciated so far. I tried my first PDG on draft with dinner, while also having a few of my regular favorites. It definitely stood it’s ground well; a very tasty and well balanced pale ale. Slightly bitter but super crisp and refreshing without sacrificing a big wave of flavor. Nice and balanced combo of malts and hops, it’s basically exactly what I want in a PA. Being from Indy, I’d take this beer over Sun King’s (rock solid and much more famous) Osiris PA for sure.

Rated on 4-09-2011 and on tap at Bier Brewery. This beer’s appearance is a very small ivory head that mostly diminishes, hazy golden body, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. This beer’s aroma is pale malt, citrus and pine hops. The taste is lightly bitter, pale malt, citrus and some pine hops. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light bodied. This beer is not overly hoppy tasting, easy drinking and worth trying.

On tap at brewery. Quite hoppy. A little sweet. Medium bodied. Not bad but pretty one-note and nothing I’d go back for.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a transparent orange with foamy eggshell head. Smells of mild hops with a pretty big pale malt backbone and some light biscuit. Tastes like it smells, but with more biscuit. Average on the palate. Either an old keg, grandpa’s APA, or both.

Draft at Brewery: Hazy gold/amber with a short, white head. Honey, grapefruit, pine aroma, Nicely hoppy, fresh....grapefruit and pine.... Citrus. Very good.

Draft at Bier. Pours a nice pale amber with a sticky off white head that persists. Nose is resiny and full of hops. Some citrus notes and a toasty malt profile overall, faint caramel? On tasting, really clean and fresh, well balanced. Upper tier APA here. Solid.
