A very solid pale ale. Good balance of hops and malts with a great mild bitterness. A very sessionable beer that would go well with almost anything.

Golden orange pour with white head and above average lacing. Aromas of pine, spruce, peppery, and some citrus. Taste is bitter with some light sweetness. Has a light body with a dry finish. Overall, a good beer with solid flavor that makes it very drinkable. Great session beer.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average creamy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bitterswwet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Stopped at the brewery to check it out and did a full tasting. This one was my preference and picked up a growler. It has a nice citrus flavor that shines through. Probably the best local pale ale shy of Alpha King. I hope Bier tries to get hoppier and push the citrus and pine flavor boundaries to truly stand put from the pack. The growler was not cheap, so it will take something more enticing to get me to come back, given the fresh Bells, Founders, and 3 Floyds available in this market.

tap at the brewery - This copper-amber brew has a nice pine hops aroma. The pine hops continue in the flavor and are moderately strong in bitterness overlaying the malt backing. There’s some lingering evergreen bitterness. Good.
