COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I.P.A. or India Pale Ale originated in the 19th century when beer was shipped form England to the thirsty expatriates living in India. The beer was brewed stronger with more alcohol and large amounts of hops so that it would still taste fresh after enduring the long sea voyage and the warm temperatures. XXA is available only for a limited period. Every brew in the series has the same balance of malt, hop and yeast flavours. Some European noble hops are present to set a foundation with their down to earth green grassy floral notes. Additionally there are English style Aroma hops for a background of spicy pepperiness supported with American aroma hops with their wonderfully fruity, almost sweet impact. A perfect beer to drink as an Apero. The distinct hop aroma typical to IPA’s will be a little different each time. The Aroma is strong and fruity, almost citrus like. The bitterness is strong. A beer to be sipped and enjoyed.

Alla spina. Aroma fruttato, frutta esotica, agrumato. al palato corpo rotondo, si beve molto bene senza avvertire il grado alcoolico con un piacevole biscotto, caramello seguito da agrumi e frutta esotica fresca.

Scent of hops, floral, citrus. Pours a cloudy dull caramel with a tan head that leaves extensive lacing. Tastes of balanced hops, sweet tangerine citrus. Oily palate with a lingering sour finish. Very good indeed.

(bottle) hazy amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel and orange peel, quite resinous, with a hint of porridge oats, pale malts and banana skins. flavour is mostly the same, caramel, straciatella yoghurt and pale malts, only slightly resinous, with a light-bitter finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

What a surprise! A descent ipa from Switzerland, half pint in Total bar, Zurich. Very nice amber colour, the smell and taste could be more intensive, as it lacks this hoppy freshness. Overall very very nice!

Drink cool (10-12°C) Eye: dull amber color with a big slowly dissipating white head Nose: Hops and fruity Mouth: passionfruit, grapefruit and hops again. nicely bitter. Not too much carbonation, oily texture, malty as well. Palate: Hops and nuts, sweet bready finish. Sadly enough there’s a slight hint of vomit though but not really disturbing. Overall: Very nice IPA, not as good as a Punk IPA though but really reminds me of it. A good beer in Switzerland... hard to find, this is one of them

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2015 Ruby-orange color with big head. Aroma of sweet fruits, peaches, my guess is Simcoe. Grapefruit as well. Taste is very fruity-sweet and oily, with a dry bready malt body. Solid bitter finish. A nice IPA with not much residual sweetness and body, but lots of fruity sweetness. The bread reminds me of some other Swiss brews. Medium carbonation. Not bad but not too distinct either. Still - a good one!

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2015 Impressingly IPA. Sweetish hippy taste with an oily feeling. Very balanced but solid bitterness. Awesome!

Bottle at Fork&Bottle, Zurich. Pours beautiful red copper with a stable head. Fruity and spiced caramel nose, hints of rye bread. Good bitterness, citrussy hops in the lead, quite dry. Quite accomplished.
