Tap @ brewpub 30/01/13. Pours a translucent dark auburn with a large, beige head. Surprisingly light color. Aroma is dark bread, even some caramel as well as fruitiness. Taste is light with fruitiness and dark malt breadiness along with a touch of apple. Not sweet, but not exactly dry either. Light, not much carbonation. A bit of a disappointment really. Could’ve been drier and used more of a malt base.

Amber color, good foam.
Noticeable yeast aromas, some red fruits.
Medium body & complexity
Good carbonation, some sweetness but good balance
Pretty ok beer

bottle, vielen Dank an pivnizub! Clear amber-brown colour, big off-white head. Aroma of roasetd malts. Medium-bodied, malty base with roasetd malts, caramel, dried fruit. Shy hoppy touch in the finish. Good.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Hazy, amber coloured, stable and lacy off-white foamy layer, slightly skunky toasty/fruity nose with a shy bitterness in the second row; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium bodied; toasty, nearly roasty, malt in the drier sweet-bitter finish. Excellent, by hessian standards…

On tap at the brewery tap. Nice copper colour topped by yellowish head. A bit spicy aroma, followed by dryish caramel flavours. Good bitter balance. Absolutely drinkable.

Röstmalziger Antrunk mit deutlicher Herbe, auch eine Wässrigkeit ist unverkennbar. Etwas aromatischer werdend, leicht grasig. Die Wässrigkeit nimmt zu. Angenehm röstiger Abgang, weich, auch hier ist die Wässrigkeit leider erkennbar, hat aber immerhin etwas abgenommen. Zum Ende Kaffeeartig werdend. Nettes und eigenes Dunkles, dass aufgrund der Wässrigkeit kein Spitzenprodukt darstellt. Danke an Erzengel für das Bier.

On tap at the brewpub in Frankfurt, Germany. Pours an amber color abd not very dark with a low solid off white head. Aroma is lots of malt with some molasas. Has the taste of a very dark beer and nicley done. Palate is smooth and takes you through a rollercoaster of flavors. Outstanding and ends slightly dry.

swing top bottle 500ml.-Clear amber coloured, big off-white head that stays for a while, weak malty caramel nose. Toasted malt, caramel and mild hoppy with light nutty notes. Dry bitterish and a bit watery finish. Lack of body and alcohol makes this beer average.

Pours hazy amber brown with rich off white head leaving lacing. Aroma of malts, hay and hops. Crispy acidy mouthfeel, very well carbonated. Flavor of malts, fruits, apples, hops. Acidy crisp palate feel. Finishes with a dry bitter hoppyness.

(draught at the Biergarten of the brewery) Hazy, amber colour with a thick and persistent foamy white head. Slightly mouldy yeasty and moderately sweet toast-malty aroma with light notes of caramel, cacao, grassy and woody hops. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied with a well-carbonate, almost crispy mouthfeel. Quite slim toast-malty base with caramel, cacao/chocolate, as well as herbal and slightly grassy hops; rather dry and slim toasty bitter and hoppy finish. Not bad, lacks body (05.VIII.09).
