On tap at Zur Mainkur, Frankfurt. Served pale and very cloudy, with a good head. Has a malty sweetness with hints of grapefruit. Has a good spicy bitter finish, much more that you would expect in the average bock.

(Test vom 10.5.2008) --> 12,13,12,11,13,12 - 12,05

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Strawy and slightly bready malty aroma with doughy accents and notes of grassy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly strawy malt-character with shy traces of cara-malt and doughy notes; quite dry mouthfeel for a Bock, mildly bitter hoppy and slightly sweet finish, again with grassy and slightly herbal finish. A drinkable souped up Pils. 22.VI.12

bottle, Gruß zu pivnizub! Hazy golden colour, large white head, fresh and fruity yeast aroma. Medium-bodied, grainy malty base with hints of honey. Quite a nice hoppy punch in the lingering finish, herbal character.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, stable off-white foamy layer, bisquity-honeyish nose, alcohol and herbal hlps detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; tart hops detectable in the bisquity-herbal-alcoholic finish. So far the best brew from Bier-Hannes…
