OK. 11/9/8/8/5/8

From tap at Steinfels. Pours dark brown, yet clear, with a small tan to off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted, liqourice and dark bread. Liqourice, bitter, dark and hardroasted malt. Light acidic note coming through. Lingering liqourice, dark malt and bitterness into a nice roasted and dark finish.

Bottle, thanks Allen. Dry molassis aroma with a hint of milkpowder. Cloudy red amber, low brown head. Light body, butter-caramel, a hint chocolate, bitter finish, overall a bit tinny and flat profile. Sparkly mouthfeel.

Bottled 33cl. Dark brown. Poor nose with hints of peas and soy sauce accompanied by roasted malt. Not all that pleasant. Rather acidic taste with hints of walnuts and aniseed. The taste is much better than the nose. Nice bite to the swallow. Mediocre lacework. Wonderful dry finish with hints of walnuts, coffee and marmite. A very interesting beer: It starts off really poorly and gets excellent towards the finish.

Dark brown color. Sweet vegetables soup aroma, some malt. Very simple taste, dry caramel, some roasted malt; residual sweetness at the end. Drinkable, but very simple.

ruby-brown colour, little foam, butter and malt, slightly toasted, sweet and medium-bodied, long dry coffeish aftertaste - not bad at all
