Koelschtrinker (7038) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 2, 2011

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Hazy pale nut brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is earth, herbs, mould and dry wood. Flavour is wood, herbs, earth and mild grass. Not that nice.

Bottled (BB 03/2010)
Hazy amber color, small off-white head. Cardboardish, toffeish, butterscothy-diacetylic nose. Paper, yeast, ash, grains and malts in the flavor. Some hops in the aftertaste. Not much Altbier here.

Bottle from Allen, thanks! Amber color, hazy. Pear fruit and a hint of caramel in the aroma. Caramel, nutmeg and pear in the flavor. Some residual sweetness. Hint of licorice.

Allen (2469) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 11, 2010
Bottled 33cl. Beautiful murky nut brown with a smallish head. Fruity aroma of candy sugar, vanilla, raspberry, burnt caramel, burnt match, mushroom and faint mocha. Great smooth taste with hints of candy sugar, caramel, raspberry and mocha. Fruity and deeply pleasant. Subtle carbonation. Medium bodied. Sweetish. Good lacework. Late bitterness. Complex. Long fruity finish which is reminiscent of peach, hemp and apricot. A very nice surprise.

Bov (7354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 3, 2006
<!-- i -->courtesy of Matthias Schärer<!-- /i --> - pours a hazy ruby-brown colour under an effervescent (and fast disappearing) foam; moderate earthy maltiness with a touch of rasperries marmelade; sweet with some tartness due to a high carbonation, medium-bodied at best, quite harsh bitterness and a dry moderately malty finish - honest but not more
