Süß-saurer Malzantrunk, in dem die Säure nach kurzem Kampf siegt. Das Malz, das sich so nicht entfalten kann, wird stärker, wirkt so aber unpassend, da die typischen würzigen Elemente der Säuerlichkeit zum Opfer fallen. Im Abgang dazu wenig bitter, was die unterdrückende Säure leider noch stärkt. Monotoner Abgang mit extrem trockenem Dunkelmalz. 10/8/8/8/7/8

Bottled (thanks KR!). Amber colour with big creamy off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, bready malts, some alcohol as well as mild nutty notes. Flavour is quite similar but also has some mild liquorice, burnt sugary notes as well as some slight note of cocoa.

Bottle (kindly delivered by Allen!):Hazy, deep chestnut-amber coloured, small persistent off-white head; moderate to solid sweetish-caramelly nose with a light sourish-fruity (dried fruits, too) background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a light acidity, medium bodied; shorter fruity - a bit vinegar-like - and caramelly-malty finish. Not too great.......

Bottle 330ml.
Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, berry, chocolate notes, brown sugar nad licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20091114]

(bottle, 33cl, 7.0% abv, smuggled into the EU by Allen) Cloudy, amber to light copper colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet and yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, candy and shades of chocolate. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Toast-malty base with yeasty notes, caramel and a subtle fruity fruity touch. Moderately sweet and slightly toasty finish. I would bet this one is an alias of the Erusbacher Bock. 19.XII.09

Bottle, thanks Allen. Preserved fruit and sweet malt aroma. Cloudy claret with a nice golden cream. Big fruity entry from yeast and hops, citric, peachy, rumtopf. Solid slick body, light parkling. Light burn in the finish, leaves a bit of pepper on the tongue.

Hazy deep orange with a tiny beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, plums and caramel notes. Finished sweet.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and dark bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, yeast, bread, malt, and caramel, leading to a very dry finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle, 7.0%. Good roasted aroma, slightly dusty. Hazy red brown colour. Very small stable tan head. The flavour is a little sweet, has a little fruity, pruney sourness. Some dust in the finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy amber with floating impurities and a creamy beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel and rye. Medium body, very toffee-like with lots of roasted malts. Very subdued hoppiness. 141109
