Säuerlicher Antrunk, leicht malzig, dies leider muffig. Im Verlauf weiter säuerlich ohne Aromenzuwäsche, daher langweilig und monoton, immerhin im Ansatz erfrischend. Schlecht. 8/4/5/5/6/4

Thanks to Allen for this one! The bottle looks a bit complex if you’re not into this brewery. Beer in the glass fine turbid, creamy head. Starts yeasty but also quite hoppy-fresh. Dry notes, some spicy notes in the background. Finish well balanced, still surprisingly hoppy. Nice beer!

Allen (2469) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 24, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2009 Bottled 33cl. Appearance: It pours a slightly hazy amber beer with a small tanned head. Fair retention. Some lacework. Aroma: Grainy malty buttery nose with hints of vegetables, wax, walnuts and metal. Flavor and palate: Medium bodied. Lively carbonation. Good mouthfeel. A lot of caramel showing up. Low bitterness. Sweetish. Decent hop profile. Some hemp sneaking in. Dry finish with reminiscent notes of hemp. Overall impression: I definetely enjoyed the flavor more than the aroma. Very drinkable and rather good.

courtesy of Matthias Schärer - pours a cloudy dark reddish amber colour, little stable beige foam leaving a nice lace; robust herbal hoppiness; moderate sweetness and medium-bodied, some tartness/effervescence and a decent bitterness; the finish is dry and solidly herbal
