UPDATED: NOV 3, 2011
21/10/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 12/2012 (2011-570)
Clear hazelnut to red brown beer, big aery light beige head, bit stable and a bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, nuts, dark candi sugar, alcohol, spices, bit peppery, dried orange peel, pot-pouri, some citrus fruits. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: oh my god, it’s chocolate fest in my mouth! Milk chocolate to be exact. then there’s also some raisins and other dried fruits, bit of caramel. Aftertaste: more chocolate deliciousness, little bit of fruits, maybe ripe pears or plums.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Muddy cola-coloured beer, with a huge yellow-cream head, dense, slowly collapsing. Spicy dark malts, dark candi sugar, cypress, seems some fuselalcohols. Like a dark Walloon, rather than a German Bock. Taste is more typical Bock: sweetish bready with a much crier spicy-leafy finish. Again cypress aroma retronasal. Quite slick, well-bodied, faint alcohol. Aftertaste has some fruity notes. Bock or dark ale, it’s a nice one!
