Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14. Dark mahogany brown with moderate beige spotting and edgework. Nose is roasty malt, spice, light cocoa, dark toffee, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises earthy roastings, cocoa powder, spice, light booze. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with lightly warming booze. Ok impy, pretty simple stuff but drinkable.

W aromacie słody palone, trochę kawy, lekkie nuty chlebowe i karmel. Kolor ciemnobrunatny, prawie czarny.

Exceptionally fine stout with a glossy black appearance and a firm beige head. Wonderful aroma, with a slight hint of an attractive sourness. The taste has great depth with flavours of chocolate, espresso and dried fruits. There is a long, full finish, dominated by notes of coffee and sour fruits. A really excellent, very memorable stout.

It’s a stout. And that pretty much sums up the whole beer. I tasted a 2012 version next to one of this year and that made this beer special. The 2012 version was way smoother than the 2014 one. It was a real treat to taste these toghether.

Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.
