Donker zwart bier. Bruine subtiele schuimkraag die bijna geheel verdwijnt. Aroma is een mix van koffie, chocolade, vanille zoet en hoppy. Je ruikt ook iets sterk alcohol achtigs. Dus de 9% word snel verklapt. Smaak is in eerste instantie zoet... Daarna roasty/koffie en pure chocolade. Behoorlijk bitter die samen met het zoetje prettig lang nasmaakt. Ook iets van walnoot tonen. Vol body/mondgevoel. Nagenoeg geen CO2. Prettige Imperial Stout. Ik ga hem nog eens nemen!

33cl bottle at home from de Molen, Bodegraven. Nose is chocolate. Body is pitch black, head is nearly flat, fair lacing. Aroma is chocolate, mild coffee, toast. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty medium bitter, slightly developing hoppy bitterness, alcohol is hidden. Full body, oily texture, nearly flat carbonation. Not heavy, simple, great dessert beer.

Nicht wirklich überraschend, eher im getreidigen Bereich mit einer gewissen Ranzigkeit. Dabei etwas Schoko, etwas Kaffee und Röstaromen. Eigentlich ganz nett ohne herauszustechen.

Opaque dark - brown beer, short lived pale tan head. Palate is softish but has good fine carbonation. Very tangy dark malts, a little coffee. Tangy dark fruits. Touch of roast. Soft and tangy stout. Fine.

Black colored beer with almost no head, low carbonation. Tastes like chocolate, roasted malt, some smoked bacon, liquorice and toffee. Nice long bitter, roasted aftertaste. Yummy.

Alengrin (4076) - BELGIUM - AUG 23, 2015
Dutch imperial stout with light beige, dense, creamy head and very dark burgundy colour, almost black. Aroma of smoked bacon, candied dates, chocolate, vanilla, liquorice, faint coffee grounds; clean fruity taste, dried plums, faint soy sauce saltiness, very nutty maltiness with a clear smoky accent, long roasted bitterness in the end with a deep peppery hop bitterness, alcohol remains fairly well hidden. Well-executed stout.
