Brown body, grey ugly head, bad looks. Very sweet, simplistic, very little malts. Brown sugar taste, watery, not fermented at all it almost seems. Very, very poor quality product. Alcohol in the end. Ugh, Bleh. (50cl plastic bottle from Auchan Tours)

Amber with a thin, white disappearing head. Smells of caramel, malt extract, sugar and a bit of banana skin. Medium oily body. Tastes of syrup malt with a soft roast sweet finish. Processed nonsense but drinkableish

Plastic bottle from a French Carrefour. Brass color. Fruity, true to type bitterness. Nothing wrong with this.

66cl plastic bottle. Clear wood brown color with almost no head. Nose : bread, apricot and banana. Ginger tart. Sip : oily texture with small carbonation. Sweet bread and ginger, fruity esters. Drinkable and quite recognisable Belgian taste although a poor overall flavour. Shame it's bottled in plastic which is something you'll not find in Belgium.

Pet bottle around campfire: No body and head abailable... The smell is thin, some yeasty malty hoppy fruit tones. Taste yeast, apples, some hops, some malts, light to medium bitter. Pretty standard but pretty balanced. So it’s ok. Aftertaste is a bit weak, some malty fruit tones and yeasty dust sweetness with a light bitterness. Low to medium carbo, very soft creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture. Expected worse, but pretty decent and good enough around a campfire.

66cl plastic bottle from the grocery store in Aubigny-en-Artois, France. I picked this one up because I found it to be hilarious. It’s a plastic bottle of "Biere d’Abbaye" for 0.99 Euro cents, how can I go wrong!? Pours a clear brownish gold with a tiny white surface film. Aroma of mild fuesel alcohol, decent caramalts, and not much else. Nothing that screams train wreck. Flavour is mildly sweet, malty, maybe they used corn or something, but there’s really not a lot of off-flavours. Finished somewhat dry with a boozy finish, but not too boozy. This is actually pretty drinkable, and for such a low price you can do far, far worse round these parts.
