3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 HogTownHarry (4809) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2006 Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, my bottle. Murky amber, small white head. Funky/sour/acidic aroma - yeast, pepper, tart fruit - pretty nice, like a malty, mild fruity Flemish sour. Taste is more tart fruit (figs, I assume), and dusty malt, quite dry, lighter yeast and funk and a medium-short finish - easy to drink. Average body, very light carbonation, mild acidity, pleasant tart fruit aftertaste. Very, very nice.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 vyvvy (2798) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - OCT 28, 2006
Pours lightly hazy amber with a large fizzy cream colored head. The aroma comes across sour like a saison with some white grapes and some nectar that I’m assuming is from the fig juice. There are some spices as well. Medium crisp body with a lot of sharp carbonation. The taste is smoother than the aroma predicted. It is still fairly crisp has has a brett-like sourness mixed with smoth rich qualities from the fig juice. The finish brings in more spice and hints of spicy hops. A nice interesting beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 argo0 (9034) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 21, 2006

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Gr0ve (1763) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 20, 2006
375 ml bottle. Medium-sized white head. A lot of carbonation makes the beer shoot out of the bottle. Rich grape, apricot and hop aroma. Smooth texture and a mouthfeel with light fruity flavours. Figs. Some bitterness. Cork, and a light sour character.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 aracauna (2649) - Georgia, USA - SEP 23, 2006
Pours a pristinely clear amber on the first pour with a huge, booming white head that has good staying power. The problem with that head is that it’s powered by carbonation that goes a bit too far. The aroma is a bit like lemon oil, and strong, harsh phenols. I’m not really getting much fig at all, to tell you the truth.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 21, 2006
This bottle would not stop gushing. Not fast gushing, but a slow and steady gush. Amber with a huge foamy head. Very lively carbonation. Very aromatic. Sour notes of pear and some apple. Slightly bitter with a yeasty funk. Dusty, a bit dry and almost acrid. The flavor is tart, maybe a bit sour. Tightens up the jaw on the first drink. Mellows out after the initial shock. There is a lot of lemon zest in the flavor. Some yeastiness. Dry palate that trails off to a small, but lingering sourness.

Draught - Bruxellensis - A hazy light amber coloured beer. The aroma is funky and fizzy with some lemon notes. The taste is malty with banans and yeast additionally. Tasty and drinkable. Didn’t get figs!

Bouteille de 75 cl, bu à Dieu du Ciel. Blonde orange, petit collet. Arome de malte et de fruit bien mélangé. Goût pas trop sûr, un peu fruité et épicé. C’est bien.
