Pours hazy orangish with a thin mostly receding wispy off-white head. Notes of tart pear, oak, fig, banana, herbal, leather, light caramel, toasted malt. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Extremely dense, hazy body. Effervescent; thick active head. Musty backyard aroma of wet autumn leaves. Medium body. Soft flavor - very mild cheese, light tartness, orange peel. Dusty, yeasty. Very drinkable. This is a fucking bad ass saison.

From the rare beer club. Sampled from a 750 ml green corked bottle this beer poured a very cloudy orange-amber color with a medium sized foamy tan head that produced some lacing. The aroma was faintly sour and tangy with a lemony presence. The flavor was tart, sour and bitter with a Sweettart candy presence and notes of yeast, chalk and lemon. the finish was medium length dry, tart and sour. Medium body. No noticable fig. More of a sour ale than anything else. Ok.

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged from the Rare Beer Club.Amber pour with a short, fizzy tan head. The first thing I smell is A1 steak sauce. Tart fruits, soft floral notes and yeast come through as well. Taste is tart fruit, figs, earthy notes, funky yeast and flowery notes. Body is light-medium, and the carbonation, strong and bubbly. Finishes with more tart fruits, figs, funky yeast notes and dry malts. Rather odd.

7/30/10. Thanks to Lance for sharing! Cloudy orange pour with a big fluffy white head that lasts. Nice funky fresh saison Belgian aroma - spicy, funky, soapy, perfumey, and more. Tart flavor at first that then fades to light funky saison with an almost faint skunkiness or something. Not bad!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 manuchampions (1154) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 27, 2010
750ml bottle from 16th St. Liquor in West Vancouver. Dark orange body with a thick foamy white head. Yeasty aroma with some dust, dark cherries and a touch of barnyard as well. Lightly tart, some wheat, cherries and figs. Finishes dry. I detected more cherry flavour rather than figs, but either way this was very enjoyable.

Pour is hazed bright orangey amber with a tight thin skin of an off white head...smell is lightly musty and sweet certainly with pears and some earth fruits...very nice aroma indeed...maybe even some bubble gum...taste is incredibly sweet...definitely fruit juice...some musty flavors as well...grass and leaves with an odd bitterness...I’m not quite sure what to make of this, but it is certainly drinkable...lingeringly sweet finish...
