COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale brewed with fig juice. A traditional style named for John Darby, preacher of temperance whose parishioners were oddly moved by a "soft drink" they insisted was just fig juice...

CanIHave4Beers (2002) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - MAR 15, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2010 Pours a hazy orangeish color with lots of floaties and an enormous head. The armoa is perfectly balanced with some spice, earthiness, and fruitiness. There is also a nice barnyard funk and mild alcohol tinge in the aroma. Flavor is funky an dspicy mildly tart with some fruitiness and some good mineral character.
