COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale brewed with fig juice. A traditional style named for John Darby, preacher of temperance whose parishioners were oddly moved by a "soft drink" they insisted was just fig juice...

Cloudy, bold and muted orange in color with tight bubbly lace cascading slowly down the sides of the tulip like a custom wedding invitation. Sugary fruit salad served out of a grapefruit core comes to call for the aromatic portion of the show, meeting up with lemons used in place of the ball in a farmhouse softball match, not to mention the anticipated fig additives. Lovely souring nodes break open the palate door with fig-like tangerine suggestions. Takes that lime juice that’s been sitting on the fridge door for years and makes a tasty wonder out of it. Some sugar-saturated Lemon Heads with double the coating. Such a tasty deviation from the standard run of the mill. Thanks for sharing MIBRomeo!

Very special beer. Dry but refreshing, also a little bit sour, maybe because they used figs? Nice traditional product.

Very hoppy (Flemish hops, maybe) and fruity aroma. Pours a huge white head, persistent, but not very compact. Amber in colour. Mouthfeel is dry and a little sour, medium bodied, lightly bitter and flavour is hoppy and spicy. I didn’t notice any fig note. Delicious, indeed.

750ml bottle from 16th St. Liquor in West Vancouver. Dark orange body with a thick foamy white head. Yeasty aroma with some dust, dark cherries and a touch of barnyard as well. Lightly tart, some wheat, cherries and figs. Finishes dry. I detected more cherry flavour rather than figs, but either way this was very enjoyable.

375 ml bottle. Medium-sized white head. A lot of carbonation makes the beer shoot out of the bottle. Rich grape, apricot and hop aroma. Smooth texture and a mouthfeel with light fruity flavours. Figs. Some bitterness. Cork, and a light sour character.

Pours a golden orange with a thick pillowy head. Damp earthy odors abound, some barnyard and waaaaay in the back some spicy yeast. Dusty yeast flavour, slightly tart with more malt notes showing up as it warms. Briskly carbonated, full mouthfeel. Another good one from Blaugies.

Bright yellow w/thick huge head. Vanilla, and sour citrus on the nose. Med weight w.creamy dry finish. Citrus, vanilla, some fruit, and a faint mustiness present themselves on the palate. Light delicate adn ethereal.
