Commercial Description:
Made in the tradition of artisan brewers, Sans Culottes is a blonde beer sur lie. Probably the best bière de garde for the uninitiated to start with. Packed in a 75 cls bottle with a wired-down cork, Sans Culottes sports a brilliantly eye-catching label showing a revolutionary soldier proudly wearing his pantalons, having wisely forsaken his culottes for the coming struggle.

Spicy aroma. Slightly cloudy and pale color. Nice big head and pretty high carbonation. Carbonation and rich malt backbone make for good mouthfeel. Slightly bitter aftertaste that seem sot be more from spice than from hops. Can't quite place the spice, but I like it.

750ml bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow in color. One inch white head with large bubbles. Decent amounts of lace develop. Smell is of grass, apples, and a soft spiciness. Taste is green apples, grass, grapes, hints of spiciness and a touch of earthiness with a hearty hop bitterness. Very crisp throughout. Medium bodied beer.
