Not particularly memorable as far as Belgian strong ales go, but decent. Dark amber, thick head. A bit of spice and citrus, but mostly characterized by its malty body.

Bottled. A golden yellow beer with an airy white head. aroma is malty, fruity and alcohol. Taste is fruity and spice, orange notes. warming alcohol in the end. A little unbalanced for me

Yellowish-golden, opalescent, a bit fizzy body with medium white head. A bit hazy and cloudy. Aroma resembles to cookies, vanilla and some milky softness. Despite of the high alcohol content, it’s easily drinkable, sweet but harmonic taste. Excellent brew!

Pours hazy orange with huge floaties and a thick foamy white head. Aroma is ripe fruits, alcochol, spices, coriander. Flavor is sweet fruity up front and more spicy sharp bitter and alcoholic in the finish. Quite strong and intense brew, a bit off-balance though. Still not bad.

Backlog from 27 June 2011, bottle in Budapest. Pours golden with strong carb and a tiny-bubbled white head. Nose is of yeast, very faint fruity alcohol, a bit of candy. Very malty preview, and the old, overripe fruit notes really complement the game I just had. Taste is of candied overripe fruit, a sort of dank. Alcohol isn’t raw but there’s sort of a rotting brutality behind it. Full body, as was the last one, swimming in malty goodness. interesting.

(bottled) this nose is way syrupy and resembling fruit punch ....lots of fruitiness and booziness meshing in the air to create a syrupy energy ..Also some rich bready malts ..
Sticky and rich mouth feel, its cloying , fruity ,sweet and kinda spicy hopped... Ok stuff .

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, 4 Oct 2011) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Very lively carbonation. Fruity, malty nose with peaches, citrus, slightly bready malt and grass. Fruity, malty taste with notes of peaches, citrus and a mild bitterness with grassy, spicy hops. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. Huyghe beers can be a bit uneven, but this is quite balanced and nice.
