3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TimE (1980) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 6, 2006
A decently made Belgian ale with candy sugar and oranges dancing around in the full bodied mouth. Smooth. Not memorable, but not bad.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Storm (2685) - Amager, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2006
33 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Golden clear colour with a weak head. Aroma of sweetness from the malt and notes of yeast. Very alcoholic flavour with notes of sugar, yeast and malt. Good but not great.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hopdog (6943) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2005
12oz bottle. I bought this one for that crazy looking ghost pirate on the lable (or would that be a pirate ghost). Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Tons of floaters. Aromas of yeast and spices (mainly pepper). Tastes of lighter spices and lightly fruity. Very light alcohol in the finish.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TBone (9096) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 14, 2005
Bottled (BBE 08/2007)
Bottle says "produced by Brasserie Artevelde".
Hazy orange, lots of floating yeast and one of the most sparkling beers I have ever seen. Big foamy head. Yeasty, fruity (apricot) aroma. Malty, medium-bodied, a bit sweet, fruity, slightly metallic in the finish. Long bitter and alcoholic aftertaste, warming. Excellent beer and nice suprise.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 aspidites (1273) - manteca, California, USA - NOV 16, 2005
Another dried blood ruddy look that does not appeal to the senses. More alcohol warmth with some cardboard oxidation notes. Decent if not great head retention with average release of gases. Bread y and mildly spicy with hidden fruit notes. Thin and acidic moutfeel. Oxidized finish. Earlier Rating: 11/16/2005 Total Score: 2.2 Somewhat rust red brown color with a slightly salty and oxidized nose. Quick fast and dissipating release of gases. Slightly grassy and some alcohol warmth, thin body with little character. Boring beer with nothing to enjoy.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 schuimkroaat (410) - Leuven, BELGIUM - NOV 16, 2005
33 cl bottle, festival at Jeugdhuis Basement, Zaventem, Belgium. Light amber, slight haze, good sparkle, rich but unstable head. Sweetish, caramelised aroma containing hops. Sweet taste with obvious alcohol, a fruity tartiness floats atop of it. Aftertaste with hops and burning alcohol feeling, also on the palate (otherwise, strong body); too much alcohol.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 beeranarchist (205) - Aalborg, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2005
A little hazy, yellow/orange coloured. Aroma is a little sour, but most fruit, dominated by pineapple. Taste a bit malty/grainy. A good beer.
