(Bottle at One Pint Pub Italian weeks ’10) A quarter of this bottles was almost too much. The murky brown colour and lack of head weren’t bad. The aroma was: there was sewer, excessive alchol, solvent and a lot of sweetness. Palate was just sticky and full bodied. Taste was disappointing, too: more sewer, malts, molasses, sweetness, solvent and bitterness. So, this beer lacked balance, lot of bad flavours and aromas and it was harsh.

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Slightly hazy pale amber colour with a small off-white foamy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, spices, mild burnt sugary notes as well as some mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is rather malty along with some fruits, alcohol, yeast, earth, mild raisins and some quite sugary notes. A bit sweet, but otherwise nice.

Bottle 50 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Cear amber golden with an off-white head. Fruity nose with distinct alcohol. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, fruit, roasted malt and more alcohol than bitterness in the finish. 030610

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel, as well as lighter notes of spices and nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and nuts, as well as lighter notes of alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Nice body.

Questa strong ale i produzione italiana ha sapore dolce, con sentori fruttati di banana e pompelmo. Persistente e piena, rivela malti caramellati e luppoli resinosi. Una discreta birra, cui servirebbe un amaricante più deciso.
