750 ml bottle from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Orange tinged golden color with a very impressive white head. Aromas of light Brett, citrus, yeast spice and fresh stone fruits. Near full bodied with sharp, but creamy, carbonation. Flavor is that light sour, bit o brett, with some bready malt, fruit and just a little hop bitter. Finishes crisp and dry. A really brilliant example of the style.

Wow, only three ratings? This is a fine beer that need more exposure. Pours hazy amber with a sudsy soapy off-white head. The aroma is sour, grainy and funky with light sweetness that is very natural like it is fruit sweetened. There is also crisp unripened nectar fruit. This seems very Jolly Pumpkin-esque to me & that is a good thing. Medium clean crisp body with light spritzy carbonation. The flavor starts with the aroma traits with more toastedness to the malt, some herbal tea traits and spicy hops. the finish has a lightly sour funk, spicy hops and toast. This is a great beer that is much cleaner tasting that Biere de Gardes that I’m used to having. Highly recommended.

(750ml bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a thick off-white head. Aroma of wet leather, barnyard, fruitiness, and light floral/herbal notes. Flavor of hops (grassy, floral, herbal, citrus), brett, and yeast.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with an average, fizzy, white head, lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, meal), average hop (flowers), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard) with notes of sour apple, pear, and light dust. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a sour finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. Good brew, lightly tart and acidic.

Bottle, shared at Kevin’s Surprise Party. Pours a hazy, copper-ruby with a fluffy, medium white head. Floral aroma, with lightly tart fruits and hints of sweetness. Flavor is lightly sweet to begin, with ripe cherries, and musty. Some graprefruit creeps in, and there is some mild barnyard funk. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. Finishes moderately dry a sweet with subtle bitters. A bit refreshing. Very good.

Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a cloudy light amber with fizzy off-white head. Aroma of mixed fruit and signs of farmhouse. Flavor is a light floral, fruit, farmhouse. Light body with high carbonation, fizzy mouthfeel. Decient stuff, great aroma.

notalush (4999) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 30, 2008
Pours a hazy light amber, with a thin, soapy head - quite a bretty aroma, with light earthy, musty complexities that rest on top of a very mild sweetness - the flavor is pretty much the same - fairly light and crisp, with some grainy character, and a young brett flavor that works well with the moderate hop profile, giving it a very rustic, farmhouse feel - light sweetness at the back balances it really nicely - this is a seriously overlooked beer.

Bottle. Cloudy amber pour with no head. Funky sour aroma with cherry and some other fruits I’m having trouble picking out. Tart and funky apple flavor with some malt. A bit undercarbonated and finishes thin, but still pretty good.

Capped 750 ml bottle; thanks to Beerlando for the trade; pours clear, dark orange-amber with eggy white head fading quickly to the edges; crisp apples, light wheat, stale lemons and a little candy malt on the nose; very light and thin texture and incredibly fresh and clean tasting; has a lagery-like profile with crisp malt, a little wheat and some honey sweetness; but there is a nice little sour note with the lemons and wheat that comes on in the end; very light and simple, even by BdG standards; I dig it though
