Test vom 3.10.2009, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 8,5,6,6,-,6 - 6,05

Draught at the brewpub in Katowice. Hazy dark golden with a fluffy head. Bready-malty aorma with some honey and hops. Medium to high carbonation, light body. Taste is light sourish with a light to medium bitterness. Fresh bready malt in the flavour, with just a gist of honey and peanuts, ending with a bready-hoppy aftertaste. What a pleasant surprise - this is a really good beer!

[9/16/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Memory ratings of the stolen notepad #5: Draught at the brewpub in Warsaw. Noble hops, a bit of diacetyl, light graininess.

bottle, thank you, Schroppfy! Made at the Łódź location. Hazy pale yellow, large white head. Lovely hoppy nose. Elegant malty background with lots of grassy and resiny hopy, hints of hay. Shy citrusy hints are also present. A delicious example of the style - this could put many German brewpub beers to shame.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2011 Łódź location. Had this twice; two nights ago I had 1.4 liters (!) and today .4 l. It has changed character a slight bit in the intervening time. The aroma is awesome; how can you explain this type of noble hop aroma? Spicy and flowery, with a great mix of sourdough bread. Flavor is all soaked bread and hay. Aroma better than the flavor; the flavor falls a bit as it warms. lovely bitterness throughout - in the flavor a sweetness falls in late, sticking a tiny bit in the throat. But still yummy. Great head! Nice body. Rerate: A really very nice hoppy pils. Delicious. (By the way, slightly variable in the bottle and on tap. I’ve had example I would rate from the 3.6-4.1 range).

Bottled, from Bierhalle Łódź, Łódź. Hazy pale golden, small head. Grassy noe with slight butter underneath. Dry and crisp with slim body and marked bitterness. A very drinkable thirst quenching pilsener with good bite.

Draft. A slightly hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has strong notes of malt as well as light notes of straw and spicy hops - is it Saaz hops? The flavor is sweet malty with a good deal of spicy and hay like hops, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Hazy blond color. Some aroma of malt, hop, paper. Smooth mouthfeel, some malt flavor, correct-to-strong bitterness, with very light hop qualities. Pleasant.

This was the first beer that I had here. It was served in their mug with a big off-white, foamy, frothy, textured head and lots of lace. Color was a very clear, bright gold. Aroma was nice with malt ing the background and fresh hop up front. That’s followed by a bit of perfume, which was pleasing. Flavor’s the same with the hop having almost a hint of skunk and much more bitter. Very good body and carbonation. Finish is structured like the rest of the beer: a little sweet up front followed by a lingering bitter tang. Very good beer. I sat outside on their patio on a warm day and this beer was just perfect! Easy session beer.

Draught (Bierhalle, Warsaw)
Gold, small persistent head. Aroma of fresh milk. Pleasant carbonation, crisp palate. Retronasals nicely grainy with slightly plasticky hops. Taste is crisp and clean - mostly hops. Some orange peel or pomerance finish. Later there’s a more lactic aroma, almost acidic.
