Bottle (thanks to joss!): Cloudy, light amber coloured, bigger, stable off-white head; moderate sweet-grainy nose with a distinctive touch of alcohol and some fruity undertones; solid sweet flavour, almost cloying, full bodied; sweet finish with burning alcohol and a light tartness. Unbalanced and sweet.........

Bottle, thanks Joss! Cloudy amber. The aroma has some alcohol, autolysis. Flavour hints at pears and plums and is accented towards the sweet. It seems to have some potential but doesn’t quite come together.

Bottle, shared by Jonas. Aroma of sweet peach, very sugary. Color is cloudy opaque orange with nice thick lacy head. Looks and smells like Belgian strong ale and ice wine. Thick, very thick palate is chewy. The flavors are wrong. Has bitterness in the foretaste and then turns into a mouthfeel of rotten fruits and pits. Not a pleasant experience but thankfully finishes fast.

Bottled 75cl. Courtesy of joss. It pours a murky orange beer with a small off white head. Blood orange, coriander, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla and a lot of yeast in the nose which is rather pleasant. Slightly acidic unfortunately. The taste doesn’t quite match the aroma. Alcoholic, full bodied with cloves, carrot, coriander, cinnamon and vanilla showing up. Faint acidity. This beer is categorized as a Doppelbock- more like a spicy Belgian Strong Ale in my opinion which has been brewed with the usage of coriander and cinnamon. Reminiscent of La Chouffe actually. Very drinkable. Good lacework. Pretty complex. Long finish with hints of carrot, cinnamon and yeast. Pretty good. Thanks a lot joss!

(75cl bottle) Cloudy, orange colour with floaties and a fluffy slightly beige foamy head. Yeasty and sweet malty aroma with notes of apricots and vanilla. Sugary (unfermented) sweet flavour, grainy and subtle fruity taste, full bodied, sticky mouthfeel. Sweet malt-accented finish with acceptable but present notes of alcohol and a subtle note of apricot in the aftertaste. Not very balanced and sticky, somewhat unfinished brew (16.V.09).

UPDATED: APR 18, 2009 0.75cl bottle. Spiced, light buttery aroma - clove and light cinnamon. Cloudy orange, light head. Has all the trappings of a weizenbock really - is it one? Spices, a bit cherry and apple, green wood notes - slightly muddled up by a clayish buttery bubblegum flavor. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Cherry, almods, butter and chocolate retronasal. A bit strange, I though it grew on me, but after a while it just became too cloying.
