3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Glouglouburp sent this to me a while back. Thanks! Dark brownish-amber color that pours with a thick fluffy tan head. Lots of raspberry and sweet candied fruit in the aroma with touches of honey, molasses, and caramel. Wow, this smells pretty good but smells like it’s going to be very sweet. So, not unexpected, this is very sweet going down with brown sugar and raisins added to the aforementioned mix of sweet raspberry fruit, sugary dried fruit, and caramel. I’ve mentioned raspberry twice now but I keep going back and forth whether it’s that or cherry I taste. Maybe I should just call it cherry twizzlers. Either way, I can’t say I loved this beer but it’s good and was definitely fun to try and unique to me.

Bottled, thanks Timo A! Reddish brown color. Sweet, toffeish, caramelly and berryish with notes of red currants. Toffeish, berryish and caramelly flavor. There is unpleasant unclean alcohol note.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rich mahogany, lasting beige head, light lacing.
Aroma is toasty, caramel malt sweetness, some candy.
Flavour is of caramel sweetness, light malt, some chocolate, earthy, light bitterness.
Sweet mouthfeel, med/light body, med carb.
Finishes long, malty with some late alcohol zing.
Good, it is getting old but this gives it an English Barley Wine like finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Murky brown pour, lots of grapes in the aroma, very winey (grapes, alcohol, a few herbs). Creamy mouthfeel. The taste is quite sweet, solid bitterness throughout but a bit acid at the same time. Strong alcohol presence makes it refreshing. Very tasty yet well balanced.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mostly flat-bodied amber with a profusion of precipitate. Aroma launches melanoidins, candi sugar, and sweet malts into the nose. Strong, malty, alcoholic, warming body. This would make for a delightful winter warmer as it exudes a vibrant, alcohol blurred maltiness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12-oz, capped. Thanks, Glouglou! Pours crystal clear medium brown. Virtually headless and laceless. Orange and caramel nose. Creamy medium body with firm carb. Nice roasty, chocolatey mid-palate, which is a very cool contrast to the nose. Long toasty finish. Very tasty and drinkable little alt.

Courtesy SoLan. Hazy dark brown pour, thin off-white head. Slightly off aroma, a tad oxidized, otherwise straightforward sweetness and malt notes. Sweeter taste, light caramel, weak finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark copper with a thick foamy mocha head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is slightly sour at first, but this disappears quickly to leave an healthy amount of caramel and berries. Flavor is caramel, molasses, berries, alcohol and herbal hops with a bitter finish. Medium to full body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel.
