Rich brown with a small bubbly tan head. Nose of smoke, chocolate, light roast, and hints of fruit and minor alcohol with warmth. The flavor is more disappointing, mainly roasted malt with some minor sweetness. Thin, watery body, nice finish is bitter roast elements and some chocolate. The porter outweighs the smoked character here, but it’s balanced enough to remain enjoyable.

[2099-20090419] 341mL bottle. Roasted sweet dry wood aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with a quick creamy tan head. Smoky dry wood embers flavour with full roasted malt. Full body. Nice smoky characteristics.
Overheard: "It’s beers like this I can appreciate a glass of but would prefer to cook with."

"Rauchy" Tastes like someone dropped my tripple-porter in the bonfire. Incase you didn’t check out the label this beer is smoky which is good, but it can mask the porter a bit.

A grand chef in Scottsdale gave this to me, hellbilly. Good smoked meats and charcole aroma. Black with tan head. Carbinated brew with a good powery coco and mild sweetness. Dry coco on palate good brew thanks Josh.

Smoked with peat. Moderate malt, and very dry. Dark brown color, medium palate. I really like the dry, smoky, earthy character of this beer.

2009-04-19. Pitch black body with a tiny brown head. Ultra smokey aroma, some nuances that I can’t bring myself to delve into. (6+) Flavour is similarly smokey, smoke has depth to iti, rich malty body is tough to pull out if like me you are smoke averse. (6+) Smooth medium to full bodied palate. Bottle thanks to Daknole, I love this beer!!! Smokey yum yum. Nice wack of vanilla in the flavors adds unique character. Sturdy malt and assertive smoke. Perfect rauchbier flavors and great body. I could drink this all night long.

Glouglouburp with another beauty!! dark brown pour, small tan head. Smoke abounds mixed with some roast and chocolate. Reminds me of smoked fish dip. Flavor is smoked but not like liquid bacon. You can still taste the underlying porter and its good. Very good. Some good malt and fruits come through the smoke. Nice beer.
