Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy smoke, toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet smoke flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded and this beer would go well with a cigar.

12 oz bottle. THanks Glouglouburp for my second "smoked." Pours dark brown with pretty much no head. Aroma is smokey chocolate, coffee, mildew, campfire. neat. Flavor is much the same with a slight bitterness to it. An interesting beer. The smokiness was enjoyable. The GF didn’t care for it. Would love to try more from this style.

Pours dark brown near black, very light head despite hard pour. Big meaty cured hammy aroma. Big smoky flavor. Without seeing the color, I would be hard-pressed to tell this apart from a Schlenkerla Marzen. Full-bodied, strong and hearty. Very tasty.

Bottle. Nice and smoky, pretty coffeeish notes as well. Some fruit, well balanced and rounded, but nothing really cries out to me with this one. Good, but falls short of great.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has primary notes of chocolate, but also lighter notes of smoke, rope, and tar. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, beechwood smoke, and roasted malt, leading to a dry, roasted, and bitter finish.

Pours dark brown with minimal head. Aroma is very smoky, with notes of bacon, salt, and campfire. Flavor is quite nice- exceptionally smoky and roasty, very flavorful; unique and damn good.

Very dark brown pour with nearly no head. Aroma is loaded with (oddly enough) bacon, smoky peat, and an overall grand smoky and chalky nose. Flavor is very sweet with a backbone of bitter roast, and a definite smoky aspect. Sweet malt comes through as well. Palate is medium to full with very mild carbonation and a dry bitter malt finish.

Bottle thanks to glouglouburp!
Rich brown with a small bubbly tan head. Nose of smoke, chocolate, light roast, and hints of fruit and minor alcohol with warmth. The flavor is more disappointing, mainly roasted malt with some minor sweetness. Thin, watery body, nice finish is bitter roast elements and some chocolate. The porter outweighs the smoked character here, but it’s balanced enough to remain enjoyable.
