341 ml bottle from a trade with glouglouburp. pours black with no head. very ittle carbonation. aromas of subtle smoke with some roasted malts. the flavours is light smoke with some burnt coffee and chocolate. thinner then i expected. oxidized. i was really looking forward to this one because i love smoked beers. i think this bottle must have been cellared but alas no production date. still this is something im very lucky to have tried, thanks for the bottle danny!

11.2oz from Glouglouburp - thanks, Dany! A deep thick pour, almost completely still and without really any head or carbonation. The base beer is a nice strong porter, rich and chocolatey, with a moderate body and a very smooth mouthfeel. Roasted malts are in there, but the deliciously strong smoke is what the beer’s about. And because the base is strong, the smoke is stronger. Long bitter finish, a hint of heat, and a very enjoyable brew.

Pours to a black body with a creamy tan head and spotty lacing. The aroma is chocolate and smoke. Mostly sweet milk chocolate. Juniper-like hops. The flavor is milk chocolate with tons of rauchmalt and some bitter spruce hops. The palate is dry powder and medium bodied.

Thanks to notalush for this one. Deep brown-black beer with a thin white head. Aroma is lovely with rich smokiness over of a very roasty/charry dark malt character. A lot of cocoa and chocolate. Lots of bacony saltiness with a light peppery backnote. Chewy and sweet through the middle with a nice lingering roasty finish. It compares pretty well with Alaskan Smoked Porter.

Une première pour moi: une bière fumée...Goute le gouda fumé plus que le bacon fumé(excusez moi je suis inculte)...Nécessite une période d’adaptation pour les débutants mais cette biere est riche et supérieurement accessible et douce en alcool.

Bottle, from Rahman. Pours a dark brown with a velvet tint. Head is almost negligible. Aroma is pungent and unique, to say the least. It smells like a four course BBQ meal! There is smoke, barbeque sauce, smoked meat (especially bacon), and a little dark chocolate. Flavors are very similar, amazingly. I taste charcoal, smoked red meat, ash-wood, and perhaps some licorice. All this topped with a semi-dry finish that merges the above-described flavors along with some tasty bitterness and chocolate malt. What is this?? Palate was smooth, carbonation is low; so low that I felt my bottle may have been a touch old. But then again, there is enough craziness in this brew to suggest that this was intended. I would call this is a barbequed, smoked, meat-porter. Very different and wonderful, but definitely not an everyday beer. In fact, lets be reasonable, I am not sure I was ready for the chaos that this beer beheld.

341 ml bottle. Ebony with a pocked tan head. Smells like kippers. Dang, wish i had some. Mild cocoa in the back. Creamy, but quickly thinning, with a tang. Taste is dark chocolate, licorice and ash smoothing to a sweet smoke. Dry, bitter finish; a little oily. Good smoked with a nice bite.
