330. Thanks, Dany! Pours black with a dense but brief fizzy, creamy tan head. Nice blended nose of roast, campfire, licorice, and even a tiny bit of peppery, rauchy bacon. Medium, creamy body. Tingling carb that’s not quite stinging but fairly present. Dark roasty body, campfire and ash on the mid-palate, along with bits of chocolate and roast. Really delicious.

On tap @ Vices et Versa. I couldn’t believe it when I saw this on the tap list online before our trip to Montreal. I had been wanting to try this one for quite a while. It didn’t let down at all. Pours black with small tan head, though leaves a small trail of lacing on the glass. Aroma is a carefully crafted mix of roasted malts, chocolate, and smoke. Plenty enticing. Upon tasting, the smoke comes out first, hickory and bacon abound. Later on, the porter peeks out with chocolate and coffee. Very well balanced. Thick mouthfeel with a roasty finish. A true treat; the beer of the trip!

Pours an impenetrable black with no head to speak of, and a wonderful pungent smoky aroma - smells just like campfire! Tastes amazing - roasty, smoky, great hop bitterness, lingering ash aftertaste. Slightly thin body, almost creamy, low carbonation. Very very nice, easily the best of it’s style that I’ve had the chance to taste. Many thanks to Robin for this rare treat!

11.2 oz bottle thanks to glouglouburp, thanks Dany. A very solid and interesting beer indeed. The smoke flavor and aroma in this beer is present more in the background then most other smoked beers. Fruity woody aroma with hints of chocolate and light smoke. Complex sweet flavor of sour fruit, chocolate, wood and an aftertaste of light smoke. Very interesting beer that I wish I had more of.

Thanks MartinT! Black-dark ruby body with a medium creamy tan-beige lacing head. Strong nose with liqueric coffee, roasted grains, smoked oak, dark fruits and caramel. Sturdy mouthfeel with the fine roasted grains, the smoked character. Complex, syrupy-oily texture, rich body with dried dark fruits, dark chocolate or roasted cocoa-beans. Some wooden taste in the finish, roasted aftertaste. Strong character, unique one...
