A pitch dark beer, black like the caves of hell, no light can pass throught it. A nice beige caramel head, quite foamy that appears and leave herself slowly dissapear from the glass,
Smell of caramel, chocolate, roasted coffee and smoked grass are very present in the smell of that beer!
The taste of that beer is unique, coffee like a porter, followed by chocolate flavours that comes with a finish of smoked grass reminding me of some scottish whisky.
A superb beer.

Wow. This is another perfect beer from Bièropholie. Bottle. Pours thick black with a caramel-tan head, quickly fades leaving no trace on the glass. Aroma is smoked nuts, roasted grain, chocolate. Palate is smoth, chocolate milk, low }although present} carbonation. Tatste is smoth, chocolate malt, smokey, fire wood, light sweetness, plenty of bitter hop but it’s all nutrulized by the choice of malt. Aftertaste is sweet roasted nut with a lovley dry bitterness. Hard to belive this is a strong beer, since there is no boose present in the flavour. Truly a great beer, but a sipper, not for getting drunk, but to be savoured with every taste. Cheers

I’m just like a kid right now, I like sooooooooo much this beer. Smoked aroma, nice dark color, smoked beer (taste like a good burned hamburger or a tasty pepperette). I’m out of word!!!!! :-) I live in province of Quebec and I must say that we produce real good beer...maybe the best in the world.

Dark brown going towards black with a brown head. The nose brings you some smoke and burnt notes. Some wine aromas and wood comes in the back. The palate is intertesting and brings dark smoke and whiskey. Caramel can be found in the back and the aftertaste leaves a coffee taste. Lightly carbonated (perfect for an english style beer).

Buvé ce calumet de paix. Il est bon avec un goût de chocolat, whisky, café à tour de role.

Totally opaque brown with small short lasting brown head. Big blunt malt and smoked aroma. Medium light but velvety-slides-nicely-down-the-back-of-the-throat body. Flavours are mild caramel malt, stronger roasted coffee beans bitter sweet dark chocolate, walnuts, incense and the wax scraped from old church pews. Medium cigar ashtray finish. Suddenly I'm looking at smoked styles with new eyes.

Bottle courtesy of glouglouburp. Pours dark brown with a rocky off white head. Smells of roasted malt, smoke, some spice. Tastes smoky and chocolatey with a nice dark fruity hint. Excellent bitterness on the finish.

12 oz. bottle thanks to Sasquach911. Dark Brown pour with small head. Faded away before the first sip. Aromas were heavy smoke, kinda liked smoked salmon. That is about all I can get out of it. Maybe some background sweetness. Not quite as smoky on the flavor, but it is definitley there. Some unsweetend coffee, a touch of chocolate and very roasty. Some vineous sourness in the finish. Classic English Porter dusty twang. Very Good... One of my favorite porters to date. Thanks a bunch Francios
