A hazy orange beer with a small orange head. The aroma is sweet and slightly hoppy combined with hints of nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, alfa acid, and nuts, leading to a dry bitter end.

madsberg (7528) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2005
Bottled: Orange coloured. Clear. Light beige head. Fruits, citrus, herbs and hops in the nose. Flavour is nice. A smooth hoppyness surrounded by citric, herbal and spicy notes. Full bodied. Ends on a balanced bitterness with just a tad sweetness in the backgruond. IMO the best of the 3 IPA’s from bieropholie.

Bottle...RBSG2005... Cloudy copper ale with a small, off-white head. Grapefruit, caramel and a hint of smoke make up the aroma. Moderately bitter with notes of grapefruit, toffee and orange peel. Medium-bodied and creamy with sparkling carbonation. Lengthy, casually bitter, dry finish.

Bottle acquire in trade with tiggmtl (thanks!). Poured a dark reddish-amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Nice strong citrus orange aroma with caramel. Tastes of oranges, grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Not overpoweringly bitter - has a nice malt balance.

Lubiere (6979) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 4, 2006
Deep orange amber ale with a thick off-white head. Lacing. Light spicey pungeant hops with caramel malts in aroma. In mouth, classy hops, floral and long in mouth, pleasing, with citrusy notes, herbal, almost minty. Rich hops, a bit thin, but quaffable.

JoeMcPhee (6964) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 5, 2005
Deep ruby red colour, tan-yellow head. Malty aroma caramel, toast, light plummy fruit mixed with fresh citrusy hops, grapefruit, and a touch of pine. Flavour is well balanced, citrusy hops, a touch of pinyness and resin mixed with sweet toffeeish malt. Light vanilla and woody character add complexity. Very good.
