Aroma of burnt malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Poured a deep black with a nice chocolatey head, laced nicely. Flavor was just as advertised, coffee, roasted burnt malts and dark chocolate. Palate was smooth and creamy medium bodied. Finish was bitter like a dark chocolate yet sweet enough to go for more. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Roasted butter chocolate coffee aroma and a roasted dry chocolate coffee taste. Medium to full body and a roasted light alcoholic finish. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Black with a brown head. Outstanding stout nose - creamy with hints of chocolate, coffee, and roast - what dreams are made of. Nice smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a solid roastiness and semi-sweet chocolate middle. Ends with a bit of alcohol and nicely bitter. A standup stout here. Snoro (227), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Massive thanks to tiggmtl for bringing this one along as i haven’t previously had a good Imperial Stout from Canada before. This was rich, and it absolutely coated the mouth with flavour, from front o back. Bitter choalate and mocha. Sweet, but the bitterness in the finish really balanced is out. Gotta get my hands on more of this stuff. joergen (8579), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Aromas of dark chocolate, bit of coffee and a hint of vanilla. Same elements in the taste - like very good and complex dark chocolate. A superb stout.
