Oh my god I could smell this all day! Cocoa, coconut, licorice, brownies, and some roasted choc malt. Incredible! The flavout is thick and satisfying, just an overload of roasted sweet buttery chocolate notes! Wow the look of this beer also rivals any American impy stout. Honestly I never thought an 8% impy would live up to the hype but man it sure does!

Black; big brown tan head. Quite sweet aroma - chocolate, coconut, licorice?; rather exotic, I can’t say I ever smelled an imperial stout like this. Flavor follows aroma. Higher than usual carbonation; some foam in the mouth. Tasty, interesting, would be better with the carbonation toned down a little.

bottle, via trade with glouglouburp, black walnut color with creamy brown foam, aromas of roasted marshmailows and chocolate, flavors are burnt coffee, roast malts, dark chocolate, bright carbonation, wonderful beer

0.34 l bottle at PBF, 7.9 %. Black color with fizzy very dark head (like rust). Thick sweetish, roasty and warming aroma with coffee, smoke and plum. Dry roasty, coffeish and charcoaly flavor. Too fizzy. Good aroma but the flavor is too acrid, feels like licking an ashtray.

(Bottled, 7.9% ABV) Almost black in color, with a largeish, chocolate-brown head, that fades very quickly. Aroma of licorice, roasted malt, and hints of alcohol. Very roasty, way too burned flavor with some acidity and quite high bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation. A potent drink spoiled with too much burned maltiness. Probably better after a few years in the cellar.

Bottled. Pitchblack colour, mediumsized brown creamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, some slight coffee and mild notes of wood. Flavour is roasted malts, some sour wood, dark dry fruityness, mild coffeeish acidicness. Not very impressed with the flavour. Roasted and some sourish wooden notes in the aftertaste. Spritzy carbonation.

Black pour with a nice tan head. Nice aroma- sweet chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, and even a hint of licorice. Not your average impy- dry finish, and some interesting bitterness, along with a bit of apricot nectar. A bit overcarbonated, which masks some complexities, but still a very serviceable imperial stout. Nice brew.

Impenetrable black pour, healthy tan head. sweet aroma, malty vanilla dry chocolate notes in the middle. Mouthful is dissapointingly overcarbonated, masking a lot of flavor. middle is nice and chalky with coffee and bitter chocolate. finish is great but initial overcarbonation lessens what would be a great impy

Black pour with one finger tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt, dark fruit, and vanilla. Flavor is a very dry semi-bitter, borderline chalky with some fruity, sharp sweetness sneaking in near the end. Sweet and somewhat creamy. Palate prickles with carbonation, with a heavy body and dry bitter malt finish. A bit over carbonated, but very enjoyable.

Now one of my favorite stouts. Best head I have ever had...on a beer. Very chocolatey and extremely smooth. Give me another!
