A pitch black beer with a small brown head. The aroma is lovely with notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted with notes of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Thanks Per, for sharing this gem.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Vintage 2005. Pitch black and opaque, thick dark brown head. Notes of burned malt in the nose. Incredibly dry flavours with the burned malt completely dominating. An ashy bitterness. Very classical Imperial Stout. 120805 & 271105

Bottled (2004 vintage) Very black. Chocolate aroma. Richly malty with molasses and lots of coffee. Very bitter finish. Bitter liquid chocolate cake?

Dark molasses brown. Roasty aroma with Belgian milk chocolate, macadamia nuts…rich and decadent. Body is sweet, treacly, with hints of black chocolate and slightly stinging roast. Long, bitter coffee finish teeters on the edge of astringency. Black malt acidity comes in late.
