Brown body with a red edge, light brown head; Very special nose, it is both deep and complex, but not overwhelming, lots of dried fruit aromas: raisin, fig, prune but in plastic kind of way; The body is softly textured, with a small amount of fine carbonation, it is both a little sweet and salty, and has a pleasant bitterness and a good balance; Finishes long with alcohol showing to much, bitter, lots of dried fruit fig and a very little licorice. Strange and very enjoyable beer. Thanks radiomgb!

This is a lot more alcoholic than I was expecting. It pours a dark, dark ruby with a good khaki head. The aroma is big fig fruit and alcohol. The caramel and old fruit flavor is backed up by alcoholic heat in the back.

Dark clear brown ale with a thick moka head. Sweet caramel and peat aroma with notes of figs and molasses. In mouth, a sweet caramel with warming alcohol, figs and prunes. Nice treacle sweetness. Rich and smooth. Like touching Mig’s calves in the moonlight. Tated Oct. 6, 2006 at a Dumdum/Duvell gathering. 750 ml X-mas bottle from Dec. 2005.

Thanks HogTownHarry. The beer pours to a dark garnet colored body with a thin tan head. The aroma is chocolatey, peaty, dark sugars, thistles. The flavor is chocolatey, lightly peaty, malty. The palate is rich, creamy, smooth. Earthy. Nice to see a company produce a homebrewer’s recipe.

Thanks to blake for sharing. a dark brown to black pour w/ hints of ruby highlights. Aroma of carmel malts, molasses, alcohol, carmelized sugars, touch of brown grass... Palate is full and well coated lightly creamy. Flavor is definatelly not what I’d associate w/ a scotch ale. Full roasty malt heavy carmel and maple syrup notes w/ even some touches of overripe plum & other dk fruits. Pretty good beer.

(341ml bottle) Dark brown colour with tan head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, molasses and possibly some fruit. Rich and full bodied. Quite an enjoyable beer to be sipped very slowly. A very well balanced and harmonious brew

Very interesting. I like how Bieropholie are able to try different recipes and make a very distinct product compares to the other micros. Fruity, taste of roses and alchool and sweet.
