COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Swing top bottle from Kölschtrinker, thanks! Dark brown color. Malt, red berries, citrus and some hops in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with loads of hops, red berries, citrus and apple syrup. Powerful beer, not too alcoholic and with loads of flavor.

Nightfall (1263) - Hamburg, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2011
Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, Ulfborg 2011. Copper color with practically zero head. Sweeet malty aroma and taste, lots of ripe fruit and caramel, burnt sugar, some alcohol. Low carbonation. Smooth, medium bodied, low on bitterness. Not your typical B.Wine, more of a doppelbock/B.Wien clone.

Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2011
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours an almost clear reddish amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel and pumpernickel in the nose. Medium body, nuts, pumpernickel and caramel with a good hop bite in the finish. Quite sophisticated. They may have used a Kölsch yeast for this, but clearly this is a Doppelbock - at least that’s what it tastes like! 020911
