COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Five different dark grains, molasses and freshly roasted African coffee beans went into this rich and decadent sweet-stout. This beer is unfiltered and matured in the bottle and will continue to improve for the next 2-3 years. After fermentation a portion of the beer was matured on medium-toast french oak providing subtle hints of vanilla and coconut.
Pour carefully to avoid disturbing the sediment.

Bottle 340 ml from erzbierschof.ch. Black beer with tenacious beige foam, lacing the glass. Scents of chocolate, roasted of coffee incredible, cappuccino, dry fruits, molasses and vanilla, hop and hint of wood. Stay supple, unctuous, rich with culinary possibilities.

Bottled. Very black, small beige head. Rich coffee aroma. Sweet with medium-full body. Coffee with sugar, chocololate and molasses. Even if it is too sweet the coffee flavour is lovely and it has a real depth.

Bottle, KØ11. Bready aroma, even a bit oxidized. Black colour, small stable dark brown head. The flavour is rather sweet, quite bready. Has a little hvidtøl to it, but is also a bit alcoholic.

Bottle at Craft Beer. Opaque black beer with a big bubbly tan head. Light and soft palate. Soft creamy dark malt. The coffee is quite subtle. A little sweeter malt before the finish. Nice drinkable malty beer and by the far the best beer I have had out of Africa.

Bottle. Black with small beige head. Fat oily body. Roasted cereals with pronounced coffee aromas. Round sweet dry palate. Strong coffee brew prefer more bitterness to sweetness like Beer Geek Brunch.

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Clear opaque black with a medium, creamy, cappucino head. Aroma has sharp cold-filtered coffee, roasted malts, black currants. Mild earthy hoppiness. Lowish carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has a hint of metal first, lots of oats, sweet chocolate malts, mild vanilla and oak notes. The coffee is quite subdued in the flavour. Good beer, but Christian has made much better beers.

Bottle thanks to Ken. Black beer with tan ring of bubbles. Roasted malt aroma. Faint touch of coffee but mostly harsh molasses that dont always work. Yes tar and molasses. Not my thing

(Bottle, Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 23 June 2011) Black colour with frothy, brown head. Roasted, malty nose with freshly ground coffee, dark bread, brown sugar, raisins and cocoa. Roasted, malty taste with loads of coffee, notes of roasted malt, vanilla and dark chocolate. More than medium body, fairly sweet with mild coffee bitterness. Very nice and tasty stout with a generous coffee character.
