COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional British bitter with an African twist. Home toasted caramel malts, South African barley malt and loads of freshly picked Southern promise hops went into this unique ale. It is a complex beer for its modest strength with a refreshingly dry finish. This beer is unfiltered and matured and refermented in the bottle. Pour carefully to avoid disturbing the sediment.

Cloudy amber with a small white head. Aroma of floral and herbal hops, with a touch of honey sweetness and a biscuit malt note. Malty flavour with a bit of caramel, some fruit, and a notable, but elegant bitterness

6 Simple English-style bitter aroma, just a bit of earthy hop.
4 Bold orange, almost clear, lovely tight off-white head, very persistent, leaving spotted patches down the glass.
7 Again, a classic English style bitter. Some esters in the retronasals. Simple bready grains, and a lovely dry bitter hoppy tang, some grapefruit in there. Wonderfully attenuated.
4 Refreshing palate, mellow in the mouth, nice carbonation. Lovely finish, some resiny hops, a little grapefruity, some bark, some walnut paper too. Lovely and dry.
13 What a great bitter. Lovely at 3.8%. There are many so-called craft brewers who could learn a lot from this beer.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. An unclear, golden-orange beer with a small, off-white head. Fruity nose with biscuity pale malts. Biscuity pale malts and a nice bitterness in the flavor. Some green pine cones too. Dry and medium bodied, finishing dry and bitter. A decent beer, but rather ordinary.Rating: 5-3-6-3-11-2.8. 110527

Bottle. It pours a big, dense, off-white head over a semi-clear, golden body. The aroma is sweetish , fruity and lightly citrus peelish. It’s quite flat on the palate, with a silky mouthfeel. Medium body fullness. A decent bitterness chimes in towards the end. Sure an easy drinkable beer. 110826

500 ml bottle. Clear, deep golden body with a big, creamy off-white head. Mild malt aroma with grassy hops. Flavor is mild malty, fruity and grassy bitter. Reminds me a lot of a typical British bitter in body and carbonation, hint of some more unusually flavors. Can’t really tell what it is, bit it is a pleasant beer.
