Tap. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel, toast, and bread malt with heavy earthy, pine, and citrus hops and medium fruity esters. Flavor is moderate malt with heavy hop bitterness, moderate hop flavor, fruity esters, and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

(sampled at 8th annual Foamfest at the CO state fair 8/27/11). Clear amber color. Medium off white head. Moderate citrus hop aroma. Flavor of the same with moderate caramel and toast/malt. Avg duration. Light alcohol finish with light dryness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Growler poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of tropical fruit, pine, tangerine and biscuit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of biscuit, orange, light tropical fruit and light pine with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering fruity finish.
