Bottle, 33 cl, at Papsø tasting. A clear light red brown beer with a huge, foamy, mostly stable beige head. Quite subdued aromas, mostly malty. Flavor is medium sweet, malty with caramel and lightly burned notes, leading to dry, bitter finish. Not bad, quite refreshing, but not exactly what I would call a Porter
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 12, 2012
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear dark amber with a huge and frothy beige head leaving some lacework. Subtle roast in the nose. Medium body, subtle roast, a little licorice and a slightly tart edge. Rather bitter finish - mostly from hops I believe. Not really much of a Porter. 120412

Bottle, bought @ Voldby Købmandsgaard.
Pours clear brown with a big, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is mild roasted, some liqourice, caramel malts. A bit of apple. Medium carbonation, dry and light mouthfeel. Flavour is ashy, roasted, hazelnuts, liqourice abounds, some earthy and grassy hops with a fair amount of bite at the end. Good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (9177) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle. According to the label, it’s pitch black, but it’s see through in the bottle. Well, I don’t expect a black beer then, and it turns out to be brown and clear, with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has a light touch of diacetyl, with coffee and chocolate and a pleasant hoppyness. Dry, medium bodied and smooth. Roasted malts, coffee and chocolate in the mouth. Roasted, caramel finish. A decent porter, but too British for my likings. I would like more flavor and complexity. 111126
