Bottle:   Reddish amber, fiery, sediment floats about, moderate frothy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft pithy and citrus peel nose.   Same on the tongue, a bit brighter, citrus peel and pith with mild bitterness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Soft sweetness finishes this one off.   Very nice, solid example, bitter yet not biting, with a nice sweet balance.   Well done!

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent copper with a slight creamy beige head. Aroma is mostly roastly caramel. Like barleywine. Full bodied. Flavor is hop burning citrus but there’s still that barleywine malt aspect. If I didn’t know, I’d put the ABV around 9%. Not cause of heat, cause of the barleywineness of this beer. It’s bitter and malty. Great combo. I’m thinking this is seriously underrated.

22 oz. from Chuck’s. I was surprised to see such a low score. Definitely hit all the right notes as far as I’m concerned. Hoppy enough, a little biscuity bite to it. Finishes a little thin, but pretty decent beer. I hear the guys at Big Al know how to have a good time. I think this beer shows it.

Pours a bronze copper color with a small white head. Not a real strong hoppy aroma. Citrus notes. Taste is balanced and pleasant but the hops are light for an American IPA. I think the label and advertising is misleading. Body is smooth and creamy with medium carbonation. I think this beer would be a great gateway IPA for someone who doesn’t like IPA’s or alot of hops in general.

22oz bottle picked up at JB’s in Spokane
Appearance: Pours clear amber with a medium sized off-white head and good lacing
Aroma: Dusty caramel, sweet malts
Taste: Caramel, dusty and some mild pine resin
Decent, but with a name like "Big Hoppa", I expected it to be a big hop bomb!

Amber hued clear straw body. Fruit notes on a lightly sweet caramel malt backbone. Heavily bitter and astringent. High resin presence with sharp acid and biting pine. Some grapefruit and a strong herbal character.

650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a thick white head that retains well and leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and citrus with some caramel. Taste is a piney and citrusy hop bitterness with an underlying caramel malty sweetness. A well crafted IPA that is worth trying at least once.

Grabbed a bomber from the store and poured into a regular pint glass. My first IPA in about 10 days so I may be rating a little higher than normal. Nice copper color with a great head and lacing. It had really nice hop aroma with citrus and pine notes. In the mouth it was hoppy but balanced with some nice malts. The hops shine here however and they kept me coming back for more. A nice hoppy bitter finish sealed the deal. A pleasant surprise from Big Al Brewing.

Bottle. Poured amber with a quick off-white head. Subdue aroma of citrus and toasted malt. The flavor found caramel, citrus, and toasted malt backing. Medium body and mild hoppiness.
