Cloudy with a thin head. Herbal, citrusy aroma. Lots of woody hop with mellow grapefruit and herbal/minty hops. Decent balancing malts. By the numbers example, though.

Toasted malts, caramel sweetness, woody, earthy, and piney hop notes on the nose. Somewhat fruity too. Copper pour iwth a thin fluffy head and super sticky lacing. Flavors of floral and piney hops with a sizeable malt bill that is toasty and a little sweet. Floral and piney hops in the finish. Smooth drinking, soft carbonation, drinks very nicely.

Taster - Big Al Brewery - Seattle, WA – A very nice IPA. The beer was strong and had great flavor not so strong it took tar paper off but this was a nice strong flavored IPA. This is a thumbs up in my book.

Draft @ Dog And Pony Renton, Wa. Clear copper with a frothy white head. Pungent sweet floral and pine sap hop aromas. Rich, creamy palate. Nice tongue numbing hop flavors of grapefruit, pine sap, and flowers balanced by a sharp, semi sweet caramel malt base. Very good DIPA here.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 raphael (746) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 27, 2008
Great effort-- going big with malt and hops both--but does’nt quite fit together. The hops clash a bit, but interestingly. while the malt scents caramel and almost apricot. Dark amber with tan head that lingers a while.Sufficiently carbonated to balance the oil weight. Hops dominant in the flavor area, more citrus and pine, caramel and a little powdered sugar, alcohol well-disguised. an uncertain finish.
