Big malty nose, lots of caramel and muddled doughy notes. Piney and floral hops, perhaps a touch of citrus, noticeable alcohol. Pours amber, hazy, thin head. Flavors of muddled caramel malts, residual sugar, dough, piney and floral hops, spicy finish, peppery alcohol. Full and sweet and hot. Not what I really like in IIPA.

On tap at Brouwer’s Café, pours a hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma of piney and resinous hops, some zesty notes and sweet biscuity malts. Flavour is full, with piney and resinous hops, some lofral notes, and sweet graham cracker backing. Quite full-bodied for a IIPA, with both sweet and hoppy notes dominating. A but unrefined and jagged, but also enjoyable.

At brewhouse yesterday...over the top sweet. Hard to finish with the harsh alcohol and the sweetness. Had two beers there and both had a very distinct home brew taste..keep on trying guys and good luck.

Luminous amber, nice beige cover. Easy fruit nose, but not much else. Sticky sweet, candi malt and fruity body. Bursts of tangerine and pineapple. Lacks balance--too sweet with not enough bitterness.

GABF 09. Pours a deep copper amber with a nice lasting fluffy beige head. Aroma is citrus hops, pine caramel malts, toast, and resin- also lemongrass. Hoppy yet a bit off flavor- esters, high temp fermentation, toasted malts, cleanser and solvent as well as a high alcohol noticed as it warms. Eh.

Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Dark orange, caramel hues, large frothy off-white head, rather sticky lacing.   Resiny nose, hoppy, some citrus peel.   Seems pretty robust.   Really resiny on the tongue, the kind that gives me acid reflux.   Decent malt base, feels a little thick, but needs to be sweeter to balance this one out a bit.   Really tangy, alcohol is very present.   Yeah, this is getting to be a little bit tough to finish.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Big resiny finish.   This is not an overly hopped IPA, but instead overly resiny.   Needs more sweetness and less alcohol.   Never thought I would say a beer needs less booze, but I think this one does.

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 25/09/2009 Floral hop aroma. Golden coloured strong in alcohol hoppy and fruity banana flavour with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter malt finish.

GABF 2009. Trying to decifer somewhat drunken notes here. Amber orange pour. Well balanced with 10% & not overhopped for the sake of being over hopped. Pretty impressed with the hoppy beers from Big Al
